Innocent Children
Kalyanaraman Adukka a normal painter, not an artist but an normal painter who paints the walls of the houses and stores for a living. Like many other Indians he loves the game of cricket. Nobody thought anything ill of him and he was a decent man in all eyes. Nothing had tarnished his image in his small village and it seemed so that nothing could.A three year old girl from a house in Adukka's village suddenly fell ill and the majority of the illiterate elders decided that it was a ghost. They called in blessed saints and these so called saints whipped the poor girl and tried to get the ghost out of her. The ghost didn't look like having any plans to leave the girl. An MBBS qualified doctor who specialized in psychiatry lived in the nearby village. He visited his grandparents in Adukka's village and came to know of the 'ghost girl'. He tried to talk to the girl and after long hours of continous questioning of the girl he came to know that the girl had got afraid after her meeting with Adukka who was painting her house just before the day the ghost caught the girl. The reason for fear, Adukka had thrust something strong and hard from in between his legs into her mouth after opening his zip. It was done so many times in her bathroom that at last she felt something gooey in her mouth and then Adukka washed her mouth. The doctor reported it to the police and Adukka was arrested. After 2 days of questioning police found that Adukka oral sex with girls and boys lesser than 5 years of age whenever and wherever he could. He had done so 31 times and this case of child abuse went down into police records as the 105th in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh that month. there are 28 states and 7 union territories in India and 12 Months in a year.
