Master Class

The best jobs in the world when perfectly executed are called Master class; like the master class of Tiger Woods in golf. The greatest master class the world must have seen is the constitutional assembly headed by Dr. Ambedkar. The assembly created a rule and like all other rules it is long and winding, so I'll cut it short - no Member of Parliament can be arrested in case of suspicion based on any kind of proof. The master class act of this assembly by creating that particular rule had its repercussions more than half a century later.

The media of India broadcasted the results of the hottest debate in India. Many MP's (Members of Parliament) came down the sacred steps of the nerve center of the worlds largest democracy waving wads of currency notes. Many thought the bundles to contain up to 10 lakh Rs/- (1000000 rupees). It was the result of the trust vote. A trust vote is conducted when the opposition alleges that the ruling coalition doesn't have enough majority to rule the country. The country watched as the opposing parties asked for a trust vote, due to the fights and debates that had come as a result of the Indo-US nuclear deal. The speaker of the Parliament was basically from the Communist party, but when you become a speaker you are supposed to be impartial and above all party limitations and obligations. He was virtually dismissed from his party because he didn't share his party's view on the nuclear deal. The ruling government supported the speaker, even I support him he is a great man - he did his job perfectly. The trust vote neared and the tension came on the faces of every single person in the government. Many who got into the parliament as independent candidates were in huge demand, every vote counts. Out of 540 seats, 271 had to be won by the government to show the ruling majority. Many MP's who were in jail came out of jail on remand, God knows how but everybody knows why. The trust vote was conducted, government got 275 votes and the opposition got a whopping 256 votes. The drama just ended, many thought. MP's came down the steps waving wads of currency notes given to them so that they would vote for the government.


No MP can be questioned on the basis of that video clip showing them waving wads of currency notes, because they are truly above the law. The law made by the master class of a great man named Dr. B.R.Ambedkar to protect the sanctity of the parliament was used by the MP's to destroy that exact facade of sanctity. Only God can judge them - if you read my other blogs then you will remeber that I am saying this again.
